I had to force myself to 'sit' today. After my 'great realization' yesterday - or rather, 'admitting that I have a problem and want to do something about it' - I left feeling, well, freaked out. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm just plain terrible at this 'blogging' thing. I revived this poor 'ol blog over a year ago, only to let it languish in obscurity for 14 months. I could list the reasons why (I'm too busy, I'm distracted, I don't have anything to write about, blah, blah, blah) but the truth is, well, complicated. Before I was a "writer" - that is to say, a paid, honest-to-gosh, this is my career, writer - I used to think, "If only I could find work in my field, I'd feel centered and inspired to write". So much for my big "no nonsense" plan from over a year ago. I had all but forgotten I had a (tiny) presence here. DA has been blocked at work and I barely go on the computer on my evenings/weekends. Spending 8-9 hours a day in front of the screen is more than enough time for me. Blah. I have a number of photos I took all over the place, but none of the afore-mentioned Horseshoe Canyon photos I had hoped, and still hope to do, someday. I'll have to start picking through what I have and begin gradually posting. No movement on the eZine, sadly, though I have been planning and researching web options.
